From Westview to WestPage: A Legacy Reimagined

At WestPage Press, we’re proud of where we came from and excited about where we’re headed.

Originally founded in 1978 by Doug Underwood as Westview Publishing Co., Inc., our company began as a family-owned, independent newspaper serving the communities of west Nashville, Dickson, Cheatham, and Williamson Counties in central middle Tennessee. For nearly three decades, our readers have trusted us to deliver breaking local news, feature articles, entertainment updates, and community bulletins with a personal touch and a deep sense of connection.

Turning Writers into Published Authors

In 2003, we expanded our mission with the launch of our Book Publishing Division. Inspired by local authors and the vibrant artistic community in Bellevue, Tennessee, we opened our doors to storytellers from across the country and even around the world. From fiction and memoirs to cookbooks, genealogy, and educational material, we’ve helped authors bring their stories to life with care, creativity, and integrity.

As the world of publishing continues to evolve, so do we. In 2025, we embraced a new chapter, rebranding as WestPage Press. This transformation reflects our shift from traditional publishing toward a broader, more digital-first strategy. While we remain grounded in our values and community roots, we are now investing in digital marketing, online platforms, and global outreach to empower today’s authors and readers in a connected world.
